Varick Round Planter

The Varick Round Planter is a versatile and size worthy planter for modern landscape designs.  The Varick creates a visually interesting contrast to clean modernist lines, offering a graceful transition from sharp, clean lines to soft, fluid contours. Unlike the Spring Street Round Planter, the Varick is designed without a lip on its perimeter.  Planted with trees or shrubs, such as a Cypress.... Cupressus Macrocarpa ('Lemon Yellow') or Cupressus Arizonica ('Blue Ice'), with a touch of spikemoss, the Varick Planter can transform a hardscape area to a woodland garden.

To allow for drainage, all planters have drainage holes in the base.

MATERIAL

Our planters are made from 16 gauge CorTen steel, a weathering steel that develops a rust patina. This industrial looking material is both durable and dynamic in appearance, exhibiting a sense of multi-dimensional layers of deep copper and bronze hues.  This variegated character of deep hues compliments any number of plantings.  For more information about the features and care of CorTen steel products, see FAQ.

The CorTen steel planters do not come pre-weathered.
